Some Moments to remember!
As a volunteer in HORAC during 3 months, I feel so lucky to have been part of the life of this incredible house. It was like a second family which was welcome me like their son. It was one of the best experience I ever lived and gave me amazing memories. I miss all of children and staff members and I wish them all the best. I worked closely with the managers, Tej Shahi and Basanta BK. And I have to admit that we did a good work together. They are very responsive and have a great open mind. We have carried out various projects and we have all successfully completed them. I met the President of the association, Kb Shah, and his wife. They watch over the orphanage such as parents for all these children. I had good laugh with Tej, and we spent lot of time together. I really loved working with orphans, I feel as a mixture of their father and brother. I would like to say something about all of us, because all deserve a memorable story, but being 36 it will be a novel to write. So I will just say that I hope they are safe and that they lack nothing. Make them a big hug also! My relationship with Basanta was very merged. He immediately took me under his wing and taught me to fly in Nepalese territory. He is and will remain my Nepali brother and a man with the heart on hand. This is an example for me because he devotes his life to defending causes that are sometimes forgotten by all but yet so important. The thing that surprised me the most is that he is selflessly involved when few people aren’t . To conclude, my stay was not only a journey, it was an adventure full of love and moments rich in social and spiritual exchanges.
